ELancer and Global PM Alliance join hands to create an online and offline integrated IT freelancer incubating platform
ELancer and Global PM Alliance (GPMA) signed a business agreement at the first ELancer Co-working Space located in Kangnam on the 16th to expand the online and offline integrated IT freelance incubating platform.
Elancer is an IT freelance platform company with 400,000 members at home and abroad, and the Global PM Alliance is a real estate project management company. The two companies plan to develop and operate shared real estate such as co-working spaces and co-living houses through this agreement. In particular, the goal is to expand offline bases in major cities across the country through real estate development and remodeling by collaborating with IT freelancers and specialized companies, which are the leaders of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Already, Lancer and GPMA are participating in the development and operation of co-working and co-living buildings in Seoul's Seolleung Station's Gyodae Station and Dangsan Station.
Together, the two companies plan to expand the online Elancer platform globally to expand membership by country and create an ‘online/offline global incubator’ that combines Korea's excellent IT technologies and services.
Mr. Kum, who also serves as the president of the Korean Alumni Association of Columbia University in New York, USA, drawing from over 30 years of experience, is remodeling and rebuilding an old building that is over 40 years old as a state-of-the-art building to provide young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to do business.
Mr. Park introduced the freelance platform for the first time in Korea 20 years ago and served as the first chairman of the Solo Creative Company Association, contributing to increasing the interests of freelancers, such as the introduction of one-person creative company legislation and freelance vouchers. Elancer is the largest freelance member platform in Korea and is focusing on overseas expansion including establishing branches in Japan. It opened its first co-working space near Seolleung Station and has been well received by freelancers and startups.
Meanwhile, the two companies are providing stable profits through joint projects and site purchases requested by the owners of aged buildings and development sites in central Seoul. Therefore, it seems to be a good opportunity for individuals and companies who need and seek help with real estate development.
